- Description: The TYC Intercooler 18018 is a high-efficiency, forced-induction heat exchanger designed to dramatically reduce the temperature of compressed air before it enters the engine’s combustion chamber. Cooler air is denser, which means more oxygen and greater power with reduced detonation risk. Constructed with aluminum end tanks and precision-brazed bar-and-plate cores, the 18018 offers superior thermal conductivity and minimal pressure drop. Whether air-to-air or air-to-liquid in design, TYC tests each unit for pressure resistance, flow rate optimization, and long-term durability under track-day heat or daily commute loads. If your turbocharged or supercharged engine is suffering from heat soak or reduced boost efficiency, upgrading or replacing with this intercooler restores consistent power and responsiveness. Built for OE fit or performance enhancement, the 18018 transforms your charge air strategy into a power advantage.
