| FITMENT | Universal fit for any application using a radial shaft seal on a 19 mm (0.750 in) nominal shaft journal within 0.748–0.752 in (19.00–19.10 mm). Typical uses include automotive crankshaft/harmonic balancer hubs, transmission output shafts, differential pinion yokes, camshafts, pumps, gearboxes, and general industrial rotating equipment. |
| SYMPTOMS | Oil seepage or leaks at a rotating seal, visible groove/wear track on the shaft that can catch a fingernail, contamination tracks around the seal lip, or repeated seal failures on a worn journal. |
| TROUBLESHOOTING | If leaks persist, verify correct sleeve size and shaft roundness, inspect for seal damage or improper lip orientation, check for shaft misalignment or excessive runout, confirm the venting of the sealed cavity, and ensure the sleeve edge is not under the seal lip. |
| INSTALLATION | Clean and deburr the shaft; measure an unworn section in three planes and select the sleeve by shaft size. Position the sleeve so the seal lip runs on the new surface (can be over or adjacent to the worn track). Drive on using the supplied tool; do not heat the sleeve prior to installation and do not install over keyways/splines/threads. After seating, remove the tear‑off flange along the scribed line and lubricate the sealing surface before installing the seal. Adhesive is not required when size is correctly selected. Max tear‑groove offset (installation depth) is 2.000 in. |
