| TROUBLESHOOTING | Before replacing, load‑test battery, inspect/clean battery terminals and engine/chassis grounds, and check the IPDM/ER starter relay operation. Perform voltage‑drop test on B+ and ground cables during crank command to confirm excessive resistance is not present. |
| INSTALLATION | Disconnect negative battery cable. Starter uses 2 mounting bolts; mounting hardware and shims are not included. Ensure correct alignment; do not pry on the aluminum nose. Confirm 10‑tooth pinion and clockwise rotation match the removed unit. Torque fasteners to OEM spec and verify proper engagement noise‑free on first start. |
